Overview
Spectators have numerous opportunities to combine the Bern Boat Race with a scenic hike and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lake Wohlen. The start at the Wohlei Bridge is the perfect starting point for this hike, which leads along the picturesque riverside path to the picnic rest area. The spectators also come very close to the turning point at Ottos Place.
The race can be viewed from various locations along the shore, making it an exciting experience to cheer and support the athletes throughout the race.
Being able to follow the race in stages gives spectators the chance to experience the race from different perspectives and follow the athletes on their way to victory.
Festivities
The boathouse of Wohlensee Rowing Club is the place where the official festival restaurant is located and offers the spectators various hot and cold delicacies. After the race, around 5:00 p.m., you can also treat yourself to a wonderful fondue in the marquee and review the events of the race with interesting discussions and conversations.
The marquee is the perfect place to enjoy the atmosphere of the Bern Boat Race and to celebrate the participants and winners appropriately. Here you can end the day in a relaxed atmosphere and collect unforgettable memories of this unique event.
